Meet A Miracle!

You may have noticed that we did not post new articles last month and might have wondered what happened to our March blog. Allow us to explain. For the past three-four months, our Beautiful for Thee Administrator, Rachael Coe, has been going through a very difficult pregnancy. This young mother with two toddlers at home, ended up on ten weeks of complete bed-rest to provide time for their third child to grow, develop and to be able to stay in the womb long enough to give their daughter a chance at being born with the fewest complications. It was an extremely difficult time for Rachael and her husband Dylan. (Bro. Dylan is our Assistant Pastor) She was virtually house bound except for frequent trips to her doctor who, with each passing week marveled at the fact that she had not delivered this baby long ago. We all knew why baby Abigail was still safely stored away next to her mommy’s heart. Our Great and Marvelous God was answering the prayers of many believers who were bombarding Heaven with our prayers!

The weeks that have now turned into months for this trial, have served a far greater purpose than first meets the eye. The Coe family has been the picture of faithfulness during this whole ordeal! Not once have we heard them complain or bemoan their less than ideal circumstance. Often, we have heard them say, “God is good and we will trust His purpose for this situation”. They prepared themselves for the very real and most likely potential that Abigail would not make it. Her survival looked bleak while at the same time, each day became a miracle of God’s grace. Even after her birth, it was heart-wrenching to see two parents longing to touch and hold their new born daughter, yet unable to have that privilege. By faith…they waited…

As we all watched, everyone’s faith grew, as day by day Abigail Lorraine was sustained by a Loving Heavenly Father who had His eye on this little sparrow. Never underestimate the value of one little life in the Hand of our Creator God. No one is a mistake. No one is minuscule. Every life has a purpose and plan in God’s heart.

So many lessons have been learned by not only the Coe family, but by everyone who has watched their faith and confidence in the Lord. Abigail just completed her 20th day in the NICU and nursed for the first time just yesterday. Her parent’s attitude has been an inspiration to so many who have watched from the sidelines.

Psalm 34:1 sums up this faith building journey that one little life has had on her family and spilled over on to the rest of us. Oh….that we would always see every hard life situation through the eyes of the psalmist when he wrote, I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

We at Beautiful for Thee are praising the LORD for His sustaining hand on the life of little Abigail. God is so good!

What a perfect writeup about the Coe's and Abigail. She truly has been sustained by God. I check what Rachael puts on Caringbridge every day. I appreciate all the updates and the Godly example that she and Dylan have been through all this. I'm anxious to meet Abigail in person.

What a beautiful story of God's perfect will being carried out by a joyful couple, ready to embrace whatever God may have sent their way. Such a gorgeous little one that I want to reach right through the screen to hold!!!
